PUPPIES!!! PUPPIES!!! PUPPIES!!! PUPPIES!!!!!!!!!

This is Ember - Crystal Canyon’s Light’n Fires due to have puppies in March 2024. This is a repeat breeding and will produce versatility pups for all venues of competition as well as great companions. All four colors expected. Now accepting deposits. Further details on the PUPPY page.

As always, all our litters are bred for healthy longevity which we define here at Crystal Canyon as a dog enthusiastically going for long walks in the woods well into their teen years and needing little or no medical interventions throughout their lifetime to achieve this level of health. Please please please take the time to visit my “IMPORTANT BUYER INFORMATION PAGE” before contacting me or other breeders - well worth your time IMO. Puppies are always raised in the house and exposed daily to all the sounds of an active household. They meet their relatives, are exposed to all different sounds, smells and textures and tons of daily LOVE!!! Then they move outside to learn about tractors, farm animals, their extended canine family and Mother Nature in all her glory.

Our ASCA/AKC kennel, Crystal Canyon Australian Shepherds, is located in southern Oregon, in the beautiful  Cascade Mountains where our Aussies thrive along with our small herd of grass fed, all natural beef cattle and our organic gardens. Crystal Canyon is the home of multiple Agility Trial Champions, High In Trial and finals qualifying agility, rally and obedience Aussies plus herding and conformation titled dogs. Our Australian Shepherd puppies are strong, healthy individuals with awesome temperaments, bred specifically for an active lifestyle, whether backpacking and hiking in the mountains, horse back riding and running, or competing in canine performance sports.

Here is how Crystal Canyon is very different from most kennels you will see on the web –

#1 – We are deeply committed to this breed’s integrity and specifically focus on producing long lived, healthy dogs with outstanding temperaments, true to the Breed Standard. We have been accomplishing our goals for 5 generations over 27 years by daily feeding a quality, vet formulated raw diet, prepared with fresh, human grade ingredients, surrounding our beloved companions in a chemical free environment, providing lots of daily exercise and breeding genetically sound individuals.

#2 – We breed only mature, healthy dogs, 4 years old and older with OFA Good or Excellent  hips, normal rated elbows and eyes cerfed clear . DNA test results also available. Females are bred a MAXIMUM of 3 times starting at 4-6 years of age.

#3 -  We are a performance/hobby kennel, not a commercial breeding kennel . We do not, and never have, mass produced litter after litter of puppies. We recognize that every pup is a unique individual and as such, deserves to be matched to their special forever home because of their individual personality. Each puppy is tested using the Volhard Puppy Aptitude test to ensure a good match for each family. A copy of this form is included in every puppy packet along with each puppy's cerf paperwork, pedigree and registration forms. Pups are started on leash training, paper training, crate training and have a good recall(come) We socialize the pups with other dogs and people and they receive lots of adventures out in nature, including walks to the creek and in the woods and play time in the agility ring.

Please be sure to check out the page" Important Buyer Information " as you search for an Aussie to add to your family, whether from Crystal Canyon or another kennel.

Our puppy prices start at $1800 for a naturally reared, healthy, well socialized AKC/ASCA pup from long lived performance, herding and conformation CH bloodlines. Pedigrees available on request. All e-mails answered promptly!!!

I think Lucy and Jax were about 4 months old when Jax came to visit and the siblings enjoyed romping through my agility course and diving into the creek of course.

Certified therapy dogs, Hannah and Henry. Hannah is Ember’s littermate and Henry is her cousin. Henry had a fantastic 2023. He competed in both the regional and the National level of dock diving and did very well! Yeah for team Terri and Henry!!!

First and foremost, the Aussies of Crystal Canyon are wonderful companions and outstanding farm dogs. They accompany us on our daily chores, enjoy our Oregon beaches when we can get away and merrily run amok on our daily walks in the woods. They eagerly snuggle up with us by the wood stove in the winter. Secondly, they are my treasured teammates in my chosen sport of agility. I do successfully compete in other dog sports, but for me, there is no greater thrill than developing the necessary bond to compete at the highest level of agility with a keenly intelligent, enthusiastic  athlete I have bred for that purpose.
